Writing, writing

Recently I haven't been doing any concept, because I have being writing my narrative assignment. And when I'm not writing my assignment, I'm writing the rules for another game I'm designing, that has nothing to do with the FMP or the college. Both are taking a lot of my time, and I enjoy writing as much as I enjoy drawing - even if both can be frustrating, at times.
I haven't started the 3D model yet, even if I planned to; I think I'll do it during the Easter holidays, using my laptop and praying the Gods that it won't die every ten minutes. I plan to use 3ds Max, since it's a software that I know already and I have it on my laptop. I might, once I have a model that look good enough, try to move to ZBrush, but I'm not sure yet, because I've seen how long it took to Danny to learn how to use the software and I'm not sure I might be able to learn it fast enough.
What I certainly would like to do, now that Adam showed the engine to me, is trying to create a simpler version of my level with Twine, kind of like a book game. It's a good exercise for me to see if I can actually create multiple path, using the "branches narrative style".

Environment challenge

Since I'm still trapped inside my house and apparently I'm stuck in this condition at least for a few other days, I decided that, again, I couldn't go to sleep before finishing my environment. I almost gave up a couple of time, because when it comes to draw environments, I become the laziest person on Earth.
But. I. Won. 
You can't beat me, Me. I'm far way too stubborn.

When you live alone, you have a flu, and it's the middle of the night... I guess it's all right talking and writing to myself. I tried to sing, but my lungs just answered with a hiss that, I guess, in the lungs-tongue meant "If you only try that thing again, I swear I'm gonna stop working for good". So, let's not.

I'm not even sure anyone is actually reading my blog; and if my friends do, they already know I'm kind of megalomaniac. So everything it's fine (except my health).

Oh, yeaaaah. Serious stuff (?). The concept it's for my game, as usual. I wanted to try to create the alien swamp, and looked at some pictures of actual swamps and jungles. This is the result:



Looking at the the finish work I also realized that it looks like the two mushrooms would like to approach the flower. "Hello Flower. How are things today? I'm, Mush and he's Rooms" "Your names are super lame!"
No, ok. Maybe something more poetic?
Or maybe I won't start crazy nonsenses stories about two mushrooms and a flower in the middle of a swamp, at three in the morning. (I could, but I really better not).

Concept, Syn

I've been off college lately, because I have some annoying never-ending fever. And since it keeps annoying me and I don't want to waste too much time, and today at least I don't have any headache, I decided to work on a few more concept art, for the sidekick character Syinia. I'm not going to make as many costumes as I did for the main characters, for the others characters; but still, I want to work on them as well. One of the reason it's because I can also think about the different style of the different worlds, planets, cities... and how character's nature can change their "fashion" style as well, within the sci-fi world I have in mind. For example, Syn is far more feminine and colourful than Rubenka.

Character concept, male costume

This week I've been working on Golden's outfit. As for Rubenka, I created twelve different possible costumes. But I didn't reworked the colours of the same outfits, this time. I might do it later on, maybe. I'm just not as interested on this type of experiment right now. Tomorrow I might try to attempt a 3D model, or at least create the vitruvian model that I will use as a base for the 3D model. I'll start with Ruben.
